Finally, It Opens...The Larger Jurong Point

On 10th December 2008, the new Jurong Point extension will open its door! Hooray! For NTU/NIE students, it would certainly a good news to everyone: more choices to look for, more spacious area to walk for, save time to go to downtown to look for similar purchases, but more $$$ will be consumed, hehehe.

Some of the new tenants, either new wing or old wing, are:
Starbucks, G2000, Zinc, Challanger, Harris Bookstore, NTUC Xtra 24-hrs hypermart (got people hypermart-ing in wee hours?), Sony Style, Blum, Adidas, Nike, Universal Traveller, Old Town White Coffee (miss Ipoh white coffee?), Bakerzin, Burger King, 店小二 Dian Xiao Er, 鼎泰豐 Din Tai Fung, Donut Empire, Fig & olive, Haagen Dazs, New York New York, Swensen's Cafe (it's back!), Thai Express, The Face Shop, Swatch (it has a shop now!), Hello! by Singtel, Starhub, Samsung Mobile World, etc etc etc...
See more through this link.

Updates (10th Dec 08):
Went there just now, it seems that many F&B outlets are not ready to open yet. Expected to fully open by this weekend. Two words to describe JP new wing: BIG & COLD!!!

How Big?
>Basement1: Challenger computer store which its size is equivalent to its branch in IMM; Popular-owned Harris Bookstore selling hundreds of novels, cuisine, travel, architecture, etc books; Handphone Megastore (opening soon) - which seems like quite Mega-sized, whole row of delicacies queuing up together: New York New York, Burger King, Swensen's, Bread Talk, Din Tai Fung, Long John Silver, Thai Express, Toast Box, Fig & Olive, etc.; a huge Chinese restaurant Pioneer Wharf; DBS and Maybank branch, Sony Style, etc...
>Level1: Rows of boutiques and accessories shops!!!
>Level 3 (somehow, no L2, perhaps to avoid double decker buses at the bus terminal to "kiss" with the building?): Huge NTUC Xtra Hypermarket (opening soon); Old Town White Coffee, Zhou's Kitchen Gourmet Buffet; Starbucks; Bakerzin; Haagen-Dazs; Dian Xiao Er; salons and many more!

How Cold?
Cooler than the JP old wing, best to feel it at Level 3 around in front of Xtra hypermart and Harris bookstore. A suitable place to cool down under the hot sun.

That's all for the updates! Some photos to share...

See! Whole rows of finger-licking food at B1!

My first meal @ JP new wing...Burger King...:( not all food outlets open yet...

Nitez!

Haha, while more & more Singapore F&B franchises expand their business across the Causeway like BreadTalk, Fish & Co, it's not surprising that Malaysian entrepreneurs expand their business in Singapore too...era of globalization.
