Hong Kong Trip Episode 4: A Symphony of Nights

Previous episode on my HK trip: Sheung Wan & Central.

Time: 20:00 hrs

Here comes the highlight of our Day 1 trip in HK: A Symphony of Lights 幻彩咏香江!

This performance spectacular lighting performance is staged every night at 8.00pm sharp, along the Wan Chai, Central, Sheung Wan and Tsim Sha Tsui waterfront. Lasts for around 15 minutes, participating buildings along the waterfront will be lived up with dancing lights and laser beams, spice up Hong Kong's magnificent night view. With the combination of interactive lighting system from 44 key buildings, this performance has been awarded the World's Largest Permanent Light & Sound Show by Guinness World Records. Waiseh......

Some continuous shots on the mesmerizing HK night view!

After that, we moved on to find out our dinner place - as recommended by Siew Hong.

MuiKee Cookfood Stall 妹记大排挡, located at Kimberly Street, Tsim Sha Tsui.

We used bowls a.k.a. 战斗碗 to drink beer! !

Water spinach a.k.a 蕹菜 (oung choi as known among Malaysians) a.k.a 通菜 among Hongkies. Fresh ingredients and the wok hei made this dish tasty, even though it looks bland and ordinary. No wonder SH wanted to order this dish.

Funny Yau Cha Guai 鬼马油炸鬼. A crispy and creative dish, the chef makes use of blended cuttlefish meat and Chinese water chestnut (马蹄) as the content of the yau cha guai. Haven't tried it before in Malaysia or in Singapore, I must say this is delicious!

Beancurd - my favourite! This is Ma Po Beancurd 麻婆豆腐. Quite a large plate for three of us (or should I say the food portion offered in HK restaurants are usually large?) A bit salty if eat it directly, this dish was the good friend of my bowl of rice...I think I can finish my rice solely depending on this plate of beancurd. Weee...

Spent around HKD 60 per head for this dinner.

Time is still early, so we went back to the Tsim Sha Tsui Promenade to visit Avenue of Stars 星光大道.

This place is dedicated to outstanding local or Chinese celebrities who had made significant contributions to the entertainment industry in Hong Kong, and later even influenced to whole Asia, to the world.

Got Datin Michelle Yeoh, Sam Hui, Fung Bo Bo, Lum Ching Hsia, Yuen Wo Ping, Andy Lau, Shek Kin, Bruce Lee, Jet Li, Leslie Cheung, Anita Mui, John Woo, etc......

I saw younger-days Andy Lau there!!! Photo above shows the truth! lol...

Don't play play har...快使用双节棍,he hu ha hee...

All the while, I'm the one who direct, edit, script-write, source, act, produce... ...CUT! Good take!

Well, that's the end of my Day 1 trip in HK! Next episode will begin our Day 2 journey around Hong Kong!
