My New House!!!

Haha, finally I shifted my belongings from my hostel to my new home.

These are the stuffs that I piled up after packing up in my hostel room for 3 days…

Sikit-sikit, memang lama-lama jadi bukit…wanted-to-be-direcyclekan papers.

Reluctant, but still have to say bye-bye to 4-year relationship between me and Hall of Residence 13. We need to shift out as to give way for massive renovations on all rooms within the hostel for upcoming 2010 Youth Olympic Games, where some of the halls will be used as the game village for athletes, staffs, etc.

Attempt to jump over to the Benz...

This one, don't play play, double decker bus + lorry tank with unknown materials inside...

Together with stuffs from CJ and KH, ie my housemates, all were being shifted to our new home using a rented ten foot long lorry, driven by Jackson (thanks!). And I enjoyed sun tanning in the middle of the road, wuohahaha…

This is my new home: it’s a 2+1 HDB flat lot in Chinese Garden, still at the west side of Singapore, but not as west as NTU. For your information, 2+1 means 2 rooms with 1 living room while HDB flats are the flats built by the Singapore government.

Living Room

Master bed room, to be (now has been) occupied by me & KH

CJ's room, has a desk and cabinet to put his Gundam figurines!

Kitchen, a good platform to experiment and come out with new dishes perhaps!

The location of our new home is quite strategic in the sense that there are plenty of eateries around the area: duck & chicken rice stall just down below my flat...

S$2.00 of chicken rice with a bowl of soup, way much better than chicken rice sold in NTU Canteen A!

...Vegetarian food stalls at around 100m away, market and food court at less than 10 minutes walk...

(from top to bottom) Mee Siam (S$2.50), Yong Tau Fu noodle (S$2.50), a big glass of warm Soya Bean milk S$0.60!!! Bigger and cheaper glass than in NTU! All these are from Jurong East Yu Hua Wet Market & Food Centre, opposite Jurong East Sports Complex.

...KFC, Pizza Hut, Mcdonalds and 24hrs food courts are located nearby…plus basketball court just at downstairs, sports centre just at a stone throw away, MRT train station around 10 minutes walk, bus stop available nearby, convenience shops all around, polyclinic is just 5 minutes away...

With S$1500 per month, we believe that it’s a good bargain after all, what do you think?
