Ching MIng 清明 + Pre-Exam Dinner (Part 1)

Outside, it is raining cats and dogs...

Even the cat is hiding itself under umbrella to shield from rain...

"Wei, haven't see cat stealing umbrella before a?"

Today is April 5th, which is Ching Ming Festival. To be exact, it is a traditional Chinese festival on the 104th day after the winter solstice (or the 15th day from the Spring Equinox), usually occurring around April 5 of the Gregorian calendar. What is Ching Ming? It can be said as Tomb Sweeping Day, where families will visit their late relations' graves, clean up the bushes and paying respects to their ancestors.

Didn't go back hometown for grave visiting and cleaning since I came to NTU, as these are also the periods where examinations are coming really soon. My family advised me before not to go back if I am busy with stuffs in the university as the to-n-fro bus tickets are quite expensive nowadays and it's not worth to just go back for a day or two only.

To appreciate their understandings and supports, I work hard for every exam. Especially the coming one, where it's my FINAL final exams as an undergraduate!

Yes, I am going to graduate soon! While the sky is still under the clouds of economic crisis, hope that I (and YOU too) can get a job soon.

Well, on other hand, Chef CJ is in the midst preparing a so-called pre-exam dinner. Even though it is just 家常便饭 (direct translation: normal homecook rice, lol...), it feels home away from home.

Looks promising right? Stay tune for tonight's dinner...
