May all yours dreams and wishes come true!
Let's start the very first blog post in 2009 with my New Year "celebration" at Marina Bay Countdown celebration 2009! Why quote "celebration"? It's in fact I was doing a temporary job there (Thanks Dezien!) on behalf on Esplanade & Urban Redevelopment Authority to conduct surveys among locals and foreigners around the area...not an easy task, as not much people are willing to get interviewed, at the past midnight's survey is pretty long too, haha...but at the end, I have been rewarded to have great night view of Singapore to watch fireworks display right at 12 midnight, at the top of Marina Bay floating platform...without paying any cents! Why? Because of this pass...
But, the pass have to be collected back at the end of the job, perhaps the organizers afraid me to come back to Marina Bay next New Year and walk around freely without paying, haha...
Photo showtime!
Doing survey around One Raffles Quay and Raffles Place MRT at 6pm...
Then continued the survey job at Esplanade...opps didn't take photos -_-!! 'Coz I conserve energy capture the highlights of the event, which is, ermm, later...
Dinner at Burger King @ Marina Square with my team: Ject 哥, Fung sir, Peh Shan, err..(name forgotten) & Han Xing (as translated fr Chinese Pin Yin)...
Then, back to Esplanade, got access to the seats at the floating platform, sat down, and started capture photos!!!

Magnificent fireworks display, lasted for 7 minutes ++...
Nice or not?
After then, conducted surveys with locals and foreigners. Most of them expressed their happiness of the mesmerizing fireworks display, but only felt okay for the performances & not much big screens around floating platform, where those who sit behind can't see the performance down there well. One suggested that he thought the Wishing spheres would rise out from the water simultaneously with the firework displays...perhaps this could be some good suggestion to the organizers?
7+ Minutes of fireworks display!!!
7+ Minutes of fireworks display!!!
Can't see the video / video too lagging? Uploaded onto my Facebook too!
Last but not least, group photos!
A question: Does it worth to put in millions of dollars just for a couple minutes of fireworks?
